I’m not saying that the individual Irishman was bullied into voting yes or no, it’s just the likes of Sarkozy et al who wouldn’t accept the outcome of the first referendum, and told the Irish that they should hold another just because it didn’t fit into their plans for a USE which made me swear.
Oh, and in answer to your next post, the watch in question was one I was given as a birthday present from an old friend of mine. Satisfied Now?
One must remember, the EEC only formed out of the original trade agreements between France and Germany. And that was because France was getting fed up of being walloped at every war (Can’t actually be that hard anyway can it?). These two will always rule the Yerp parliament. France also rules the CAP, because it wants to keep its farmers in the 17th century (Damn good protectionist policy, but it hurts everybody else!)
So, seeing as GB hasn’t got the bottle to join Yerp in a full and proper way, we cannot bleat on about everything that is wrong with it (Well, we can bleat but we don’t have a seat at the table to demand a change). Personally, I’m all for it….it’s one step towards getting rid of the pointless waste of skin and hair we have in the HP. All of them, from any party.
Sarkozy and Ange versus “Anybody” from UK Government? No choice IMO.
It is also 1 step towards the common currency, which is something like Article 2 or 3 of the treaty of Rome…..in other words it’s always been a goal since it was set up. This will then give two main currencies in the world, USD and the Euro. They will of course converge until the Forex is 1:1 and trade will be a damn site easier.
Golly, I’ve wandered into a memory recall from my degree, I must be on some sort of drug. Oh, I am…..17th coffee today!
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
…oh, and I’ve just been given 104 Hancock episodes! 7 on the player at present. Guess what’s playing? “Have you ever given blood before?” “Given, no…spilt, yes”.
Just sheer class!

So, now you’ve read up on it, and played with the camera………you still on Jpeg?
There is no doubt that optical is better than digital zoom.
What the poster is showing is that in order to get the same sized image with your optical zoom as you do with your digital zoom you will have to use part of the image only. In doing this you are, once again, only using part of the sensor.
That being the case the test show unequivocally that in the case of his camera the digital zoom – full image, is better than the optical zoom and only a partial image.
Moggy
Digital zoom is a mere gimmick IMO, I use it as a telescope only. I still have my Panasonic FZ20, and still use it alongside my Canon so am very familiar with the digi zoom as shown here. But, the poster didn’t say at what point the Optical Zomm was, before the crop. i.e. the Optical should have been right at it’s limit and then the photo cropped. Them because (In both cases) as rightly said, only a part of the sensor was used, the pictures need upsizing with a proper program for doing such. I use Genuine Fractals, a plug-in for Photoshop.
A plus on the digizoom, I’ve used it at max (48x) to take a picture of a jet at 35k feet to see what airline it was. Grainy as hell, but the picture is frozen, the stabilisation system is (Still) years ahead of the rest. I’m not that impressed by the stabilisation on the Canon 450D. (It was Virgin BTW)
The new MUSE album “The Resistance” really quite good, strong echos of Queen in it.
I listened to that in the shop, didn’t buy.
Papa Roach and Metamorphosis is this weekends heaviest play, hte track being “Lifeline”.
I’m having an 80’s revival at the moment…..”The Police”, “Talking Heads”, the latter were a very under-rated band IMO.
I made a 98 song compilation of the Beatles re-releases from last month – that’s getting heavy play.
Obviously, for me, Tiesto is never far away, awaiting his new album on Tuesday.
And, “The Navy Lark series 10”, for which I’ve been waiting for ages. Script writing like that has just gone forever, and the skils of Pertwee, Barker too.

That’s not a fair question to ask a bloke!
Every 8 seconds we think about nookie.

From the sales Vid, the chute has to be deployed in level flight and about 50 knots!
Maybe real life emergencies are not quite so simple.
Did they put the chute on their little jet?
…..when I saw this request thread, it reminded me of the book I’m reading. Howard Marks autobiog.
I feel your pain – I’m doing the Bristol – Plymouth trip god knows how many times a week at the moment.
What’s making me tired at the moment?! Having to do long hours but not doing very stimulating work.
Aah! I just knew the Bristol connection was Airbus!

There’s no pockets in a shroud.

I had the divine honour to be inside an AS90 when firing. It was heaven.
