I’d be fairly confident my 4 foot snake wouldn’t escape and kill a toddler. If it were an 8 foot python I’d think slightly differently.

    Paul

….he says, checking the vivarium. 🙂

I thought Dog and handler were teamed for life, do they mix handlers??

I know two local Police dog handlers, they would be devastated if they lost a dog, the bond between dog and handler is too strong. There has to be more to it than that.

    I hope so.

    Baz

    I thought so too.
I have a pal that retrains ex “Rummage” dogs. Poor things are addicted to cociane / smack after 2 years of sniffing it out. Those dogs stay with handlers for their lifetime of work too.

    Welcome, Edwin.

You might find our Historic Aviation forum interesting.

Yes, I’m sure we would. 🙂

    Ale. Even the new Boddies.
But I don’t get back up to Manchester that often.

Most Camera software (Discs supplied) or other photo SW have a red eye tool. Photoshop is my default tool and it’s red eye tool is super. Even in “Paint” you could place a black circle/dot over the red bit, as the red bit is the diameter of the pupil. Other animals don’t have round Pupils though….so back to P/shop!

There shouldn’t be a problem keeping animals and children as long as people are sensible about it. There really shouldn’t. It doesn’t even really matter whether the snake is in another room or not, if a child is hurt or worse by a pet then the owners/parects are very clearly irresponsible as they allowed that situation to happen. Wouldn’t you say?

    Paul

    I would.
But “Shouldn’t” is left to human error. Only 1 mistake allowed in these circs. and it’s a mistake that will haunt one to the point of suicide.

Mollie Sugden… the television actor who played the cat-obsessed Betty Slocombe in Are You Being Served?… has died age 86…some of you older forumites might remember her from The Liver birds

    (Ahem) I do.

“My pussy was nearly up my curtains” How they got away with such innuendo I don’t know!
These days they probably would, because the Censors are a product of “Thick Britain” and they didn’t lern pucka ingleesh at skool.
    RIP Mollie (Molly?).
