Personally I think it’s a big ugly waste of money but…
Playing Devil’s Advocate I’m guessing the arguement they’ll use is to say it’ll inspire the next generation of aviation-minded young people. And that may be the case. If it does that then fair enough I suppose. Maybe as hardened, dyed-in-the-wool aviation ‘types’ we’re all too close to the subject to see that arguement, and what (if any) validity it has.
