Had to be a contender for the ‘Shortest-lived thread ever’ award :diablo:
The SC500 wasn’t cased, as they were worried about how far the shrapnel would be hoyed IIRC. The SC50 was cased, and the shrapnel aspect well covered.
Blimey! 😮
Very nice. I might just be passing in the next couple of weeks, if so will try a sneaky detour for a shot :diablo:
One of those hangars…has cannon holes in the doors from a wartime german raider.
How rude. You’d have thought knocking would have sufficed.
Cheers RH. Depending what bits the Dak needs I might be able to help, sure I’ve some props that’d do for it at least. I’m toying with haggling for the Ju86 if it’s still around. Well I think that’s what it is anyway…
Thing with mesh sides, kind of looked like a large dog cage? Seen one like that, I think it was at Eden Camp.
Not good. Be careful chaps…

The Germans are a competitive bunch aren’t they? I mean 4th isn’t too shabby, but they just had to try claim the no.1 spot by foul means. Twice…;)

And I suppose the Jankers would apply equally if we were to salute you as a WO too?! :diablo:;)

I seem to recall reading somewhere that what was left was buried under a big pile of gravel
I know what you mean, doesn’t look like there’ll be much left for the V2 to drop on. Can see the series finale now- the final BANG, the dust and smoke clears, and there’s nothing left standing…
…Apart from that bottle of milk!:D
On a serious note it was quite amazing the damage the ‘weeny’ bomb did- the speed that shrapnel travelled at was something else.
Makes you think what something like one of our ‘blockbusters’ would have done.
I did learn a lot from the programme and am looking forward to the next installment.
