You too Joey? thought you seemed, er, familiar! 😮
Oops we appear to have turned this thread from a theological debate into filth corner!
But hell at least you’ve got a lot of trading material there. Wonder if I can clear some more shelf space? 😀
…Damn I thought I’d turned the webcam off…! :o:D

Didn’t the P-38 have handed props too?
…no official word on God’s position on socks yet though ‘830?

Good point CADman, it’s links with maritime aviation would be a lot less tenuous than some of the exhibits there
Would recovery of insufficient remains lead to two crew members being interred in the same plot then? I ask because the Lanc crew a relative of mine was on all have separate graves, apart from the tail gunner and the pilot share the same plot.
They should make a law so ‘grockle boxes’ can only travel between midnight and 2 AM 😀

most of their top politicians have been Scots!
By ‘top’ I assume you meant ‘Idiots making a total hash of being in a position of (ir)responsibility?’ 😀

I can’t tell you how infuriated I am to see the suggestion that as a Christian Ryan beats his children. Seriously, I’m really insulted.
Violence towards kids involved in the church system unknown? I think not. My dad was sent to a church-run school. He, like me, is left-handed. The supposed ‘men of God’ entrusted with teaching him declared left handedness was against the ways of the Lord, so would strap his left wrist high up behind his back, beat him “for your own good as being left handed you have the devil in you my child”, and force him to write with his right hand. He was also, how can I put this delicately, ‘propositioned’ by one of these oh so holy, pious, whiter-than-white individuals, but luckily for him he could run bl**dy fast.
So if that’s the Church doing the Lord’s work, sorry but as far as I’m concerned you can shove it.
As to those running the church, or in the clergy, it’s a power trip for hypocrites and liars and fast becoming a refuge for people who in ordinary walks of life would be behind bars, where almost any tendency towards deviancy will be covered up for you (see the recent ‘revelations’ about Catholic priests) lest word get out and damage the Church. Perhaps it could even be the ultimate, and most obnoxious, Old Boys’ Network.
For those who go to church, it’s an emotional crutch. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with that, far from it; if the idea of a God gives some people comfort in dark times that’s fair enough.
But I don’t believe there’s a higher power. You only have to watch the news on any given day to see more and more evidence against a God though. Not one shred of solid evidence for the existence of a God has been presented that’d persuade me to change that view as yet.
I stand by what I said- You’re born, you live, you kick the bucket, that’s it. The end. Once that last spark has fizzled out in your brain that’s your lot.
The only ‘after’ is whatever legacy you chose to leave behind you; whether that be on maybe on only a couple of close people, or the whole world, depending on how big a mark you’ve left during your time here.
