Does seem a little cheeky. Most events i’ve taken my mg to do charge, but a greatly reduced rate for the classics compared to joe public. Abingdon being the birth place of proper mg’s, they’ll be understandably keen to cash in. That said, if you’re lucky enough to get your car registered for waddington, you and your passenger get in for free…

A member of my family spent his war in a Lanc Mid-upper turret, the more I research the more it appears that’s where he lost his life too, rather than in the W/op position as we believed.
So I for one hope you can source the turret. Ignore the DOOMSTERS!
(With apologies to the originator on the ‘558 thread of the red bit above!)
My boss, wanting me in 50 places at once. It’s a truck, not the Tardis for God’s sake… 😡

B-36 please! 😎
That’s not a rule AndyG- That’s just common or garden sod’s law!
now that’s just a silly idea!
I’ve found a simple rule of thumb when restoring anything- The longer you have word out about wants, the more likely you are to source the parts you need. Common sense I’d have thought…
😀 No stray Bloodhounds spotted yet, and I do hope you mean the hairy four-legged ones, not the missile!
Home’s about 10-12 miles from Driff, (Hornsea) so your hounds would have to be fairly well off-track and able to clear a 10ft anti-chav fence to land up in my back yard! Hope you enjoyed E.Yorks anyway.
Back on the subject of Vulcan tail-art, I think there was some disgruntlement by 44 sqn towards 27 as they wanted to use the elephant as it appears on their squadron crest; but 27 got there first apparently…
Anyone got a copy of Craig Bulman’s book to hand? My copy’s at home and I’m not, but I’m sure it details such things though.
Just been watching chaps abseiling out of 2 perfectly good Lynx at Catterick…
