Would be nice. Apparently the owner isn’t all that fussed about anything being done to her though 😡
when people stand up and say ‘yeah, let’s crack on with it’ 😉
Thanks Mr.Mills. I have PM’d him so won’t panic if I don’t hear anything for a bit!
Often wondered what happened to the surviving aircraft after the raid… Shall await the book!
Strikes me as perfectly fair on balance.
Will do. It’d be nice to have her looking nice at least before the open day…
…and a perfect replica of a Squadron Commander’s pride and joy car IIRC…:D
Restoration or Rebuild ,oh that old can of worms again 🙂
Can I advocate a stoning for the first person who mentions the word ‘dataplate’ if the thread’s wandering down that path?!;)
Stripey feline?! 😉
Just read Pagen01’s list- somebody’s going to be a busy little modeller! 🙂
That’s just sacrilege! 😡
…brings to mind the old curse, ‘may you have the pox of a thousand camels…etc’ 😀

Nice to see another brave ‘forgotten’ crew recieving due recognition.
Cheers Ted. Gannet’s had a proper spruce up, looks well. The arrester hook’s no longer held in place with blue twine either! Canberra looks a little happier too. While i was there the Tornado was getting some attention, as was the Auster and the Mossie. Something going on with the Dakota’s engines too, no cowls on and looked like refurbed props at least being hung (can be seen in the Harrier pic).
The hangar’s a bit crowded as you say, only the Hunters, Javelin, Canberra, NF Meteor, Herald, pink Bucc and T33 out in the cold really. And the Victor of course. That said, at least they’ve got a hangar to winter most of the airframes in so I wasn’t grumbling too much!
In the H-P building the Anson seems to be coming along nicely, and the Hurricane replica looked to be in undergoing its tidy before it goes on its travels. The door on the Victor Procedures Trainer was open too, was nice to actually be able to have a squint in for the first time.
Looks to be new exhibits in one of the huts being worked on currently, so it was mostly closed off. Details on the YAM website IIRC.
All told a few hours well spent 🙂
…Only down-side was that I was beaten by my lass on the air-gunnery simulator :diablo:
