just reading “the lonely sea and sky” by Chichester absolutley rivetting read a truely amazing character.
Also recently read “The dangerous skies” by A. E. Clouston very entertaining both 10p at local car boot.

I was actually thinking of the Dambusters filming next but 633 Squadron would be a good one as I have a bit of a soft spot for the Mossie

As I was wading through a pile of stuff I came across this and as nobody else has posted a pic of one I will, taken at HMS Deadalus air show not to sure of the year but I do remember the approaching thunder storm.

I have a book called the lancaster manual which I used many years ago to produce a cutaway drawing of the Lanc, it has loads of useful stuff, structure and systems etc.
I can’t remember where I got it but I think it was Midland books, somebody here may be able to point you to a copy.

Absolutely Yakrider fanatastic show and just to blow my own trumpet a bit I won a trohphy too for best painting by a first time exhibitor, Ive only just stopped grinning like an idiot.

The Tangmere museums not very big but interesting all the same, you used to be able to get onto the airfield and around the buildings but I suspect not any more
