There are so many variables in what you propose, I mean you can go ahead and tailor a scenario to result in the situation you desire, i.e. helo wins, and someone else can pitch a scenario where the exact opposite occures. Really its quite pointless.

Refitting the Kennedy would have cost less than they’ve paid for this CV.

Do you honestly believe the F35B will ever be deployed to forward operating base?

I hope not! I wouldnt want to be the commander who loses $600 million + in one night!

Just a small dig……but…..is being “decorated by Stalin himself” something to brag about?

The Uk could recall all their diplomatic personel from Ecuador, close down their embassy there thus severing diplomatic ties, and order the Ecuadorian mission to remove themselves from the UK and snatch the fool up as they leave. But that seems to be a very big bother. So I think the best thing to do is just wait him out. Sooner or later he will get tired of living in that building.

    Jim………

Guess you would feel more at home in the RSA where 30 miners are gunned down by the police or in Russia where three girls are being imprisoned for singing a protest song against President Putin. Then, of course, there is that “beacon” democracy, the USA where folk are encarcerated in Guantanamo Bay rather than being taken before the Courts.

Think I still prefer “soft” GB, not that I consider GB “soft”. Maybe you just have a more priviledged life ??

    Planemike

One minor quible with your post. The US is not a democracy, we are a republic.

I believe the Herc will be in full production for the forseeable future. Far from dead.

I doubt that would be the case. The French are very good at providing post purchase support to their customers.

I thought it was very good opening ceremony. One of the best I’v ever seen. It was especially touching to see the moment of silence for the 40th anniversary of the massacre of Israeli atheletes in Munich.
