Hi

The programs called ” Mrs Beastons Flying Picnic” and shows on Sky One.

You can see it this THURSDAY at 06.30, 16.30 & 04.40 Friday ! And should you miss any of those, or choose not to get up in the middle of the night, you can view again at 06.30, 16.30 & 04.40 Saturday – Oh forgot 04.30 tomorrow morning also!

It`s presented by Annabel Croft.

Peter – I asked a question earlier today that was something like ” Will you take an offer on it, and where can i view it?”

The reply i got was “I will try to take additional photos in the next 24 hours. Hopefully this will answer your questions. Cheers.” ????

If you have Google Earth find the Lanc and zoom right in, have a look at what Google Earth tells you the “Eye Altitude” is, mine is 199ft when zoomed right in and full frame, so does that mean the Lanc flying at around 100ft or below ? 😀 😀 😀 😀

Still in same place today, Looks a little rough now, lots of green staining on the starboard side fuselage. 🙁

Thanks Alan, I do remember the 2nd crash i must have been about 5! I remember being dragged across the golf course to see the Viscount by my older brother, but cant remember anything more than that.

Thanks for the info though.
I have picture of the 2nd Mishap which i found on the Net a couple of years ago, which i will try and post, shows the Viscount broken in 2, just over the bank, almost on the Railway.

Price wise Carvair 9J-PAA was up for sale a couple of years ago for $250000 thats around £142,000 – so not sure how much a Viscount would be.

Come on..i can`t be the only one with some Christmas money left – what do we do now ?

Yes In Southend or a least a couple of miles north. I worked for BAF & Heavylift for a few years ( early 80`s ) & spent a week working on the sim as an apprentice, hence the interest.

Slightly off topic, but does anyone know what happened to the Belfast Simulator that was at Southend in the Early 80`s?
