yikes! 😮
IL 62 and TU 154.
I guess you can do both somewhere around the world, not easily though.
cheers for the info.
Could anyone tell me, how many RAF’s Tornados are based in Wales and where?
I heard an interesting thing on the radio last night questioning why Germany was doing well coming out of the recession. They simply said,we don`t like change and try and improve what we have.Whilst you English do embrace change at every possible opportunity whether it be politics or manufacturing……..but it is a gamble.
was this on BBC 4? I think i was tuned into this as well. Was a very good debate.

Well, we educated them, controlled and Policed them, built their towns anc cities, and Railways. We bought all their goods for the going rate. We left all those nations in a far better state than we found them.

to make it clear I did not single out your post for that, just some of the replies on the thread.

No, you have a very valid point Lincoln. Of course India has poverty, that is a no debate question. Saying this, a country like India, or China will not say “no, thanks” to a billion quid! No developing country in their right mind would. Having said this, the Earth under India’s and China’s feet will not cave in if this aid is not given to them. As someone pointed out before, India is the second fastest growing economy in the world and China is well on its way to the top of the pyramid, hence they will take any extra gesture that they can just to speed up there own race.

The amount of ignorant swill that comes onto these forums sometimes bothers me no end. 😡
Get your facts correct, UK does not need to give aid to India. There is no treaty and no bilateral that compels Britain to give aid to India. Stop with the nonsense of ‘if they cant take care of the poor’. Britain’s aid had its own vested interests both socially and geopolitically.
Britain gave millions in aid to Singapore as well, must be one of those poor rag pickers on Orchard Road in their swish vehicles?
Britain has been giving ‘aid’ for decades, its nothing new. It did because it could, it was not in recession then and its economy used to be far more powerful than what it is at the moment. All they are doing now (hopefully) is realizing the current economics and back tracking on there aid related commitments specially to countries such as India and China (got in excess of 100 million pounds in 2010), which is fine and makes complete sense.
