I believe Ramrod no longer exists, whether or not the second part of the Johnnie Johnson story will be published I have no idea. A Douglas Bader tribute was published a few years ago written by Dilip I believe. As far as I know Dilip was actively researching in a different field a few months ago.

As for the Battle of Britain Historical Society I almost joined but then felt it was not really for me. Just a feeling I had. Like Radar Archive, I was by that time involved in my own research so couldn’t really justify the expense.

If you’re talking about the ABC one I believe it comes out monthly but is (was) quite expensive. Why not go to your local travel agent and ask if they have an old copy you can have. Much of the information changes seasonally, not monthly.

Very, very pleased to hear he’s all right. As for the aircraft? Well, I’d much rather lose the airframe than the crew every time. If it’s repairable great. If not it doesn’t really matter, even if it was irreplaceable. Mr Pardue, and all those like him we see at airshows ARE irreplaceable.

Careful Andrewman. It doesn’t do for us to agree with each other too often. I won’t have anyone to argue with.:(

    Papa Lima.

I’m 42 and I will freely admit that I have learned a great deal from many of the younger forum members so I personally would not want to see the age raised. We’ve had the odd idiot on here who was well over 18. That’s not the point I’m trying to make.

We’re all entitled to our opinion and if LGKR and Airline Owner disagree that’s fine. Just getting my point across. Hopefully in a mature and sensible fashion.

Airline Owner, thank you for your consideration.

Have to say I agree with papa lima. The US is fond of complimenting itself on its security arrangements and has no qualms (rightly so) of making examples of those idiots who are of the mistaken belief that announcing you have a bomb is ‘a bit of a joke.’

She should have been sacked immediately and might there not be a possibility that she should be charged with reckless endangerment?

Of course this is all absolute speculation. The Coalition forces can hardly be said to have control in Iraq and I would imagine the situation will deteriorate even further, if that is at all possible, when control is handed back to the Iraqi’s in June. At the moment there isn’t even a reasonably reliable infrastructure in place for the essential needs of the Iraqi people. Air travel in safety in that country is a long way down the line. Would you wish to fly in and out of Iraq at present? And would you truly feel safe?

For the time being it will all be carried out by military aircraft or Civilian aircraft under contract to the military.

Definitely keep the old livery, it is absolutely stunning and seems to suit whichever aircraft it was painted on.

I was put onto this by Moggy C and it is absorbing. As Moggy says, stick it into the car for a long journey and the time just flies by.

‘What will happen to My Travel if they go bankrupt.’

What will happen is that many people will lose their jobs, as a result of this they may lose their homes, accrue substantial debt, have marital problems, the list is endless. Others will lose their holidays. Lives WILL be turned upside down.

This is where rumours can have a devastating effect. MYT have a significant amount of debt. Anyone with any compassion will hope they can turn things around to avoid the consequences described above.

This is not the place to speculate on such matters.
