Thank goodness it’s not as ugly as the Chilean AF version. 🙂

Does anyone know if the body of Nick Berg was found with or without a severed head? I have seen conflicting reports, some stating that his body was not mutilated in any way…?
3 ME countries denounce Berg murder

Interestingly enough, his parents blame the US b/c according to them, he was detained and held by US forces without due process. Why he was detained and visited by the FBI is again, fishy.
Can’t remember – did he play the mad psycho in it, like usual?

Not really, but there were some of his trademark characteristics…..
The Berg murder is a bit fishy- why was he arrested by the Iraqi police and detained for two weeks on account of suspicious activity? Isn’t it strange for the Iraqi police to arrest a Westerner? And why did the FBI question him on three separate visits- I can’t imagine that it was just in regards to his safety.
In any event, a horrific murder that just shows how that region is going downhill unless drastic action is taken to rectify the situation and to win hearts and minds back.
If the US is to come out of this quagmire, we need to do everything in our power to remove the recruitment power these guys have by actually doing what we preach (human rights, freedom, democracy).
The Nick Berg murder would have happened regardless, Zarqawi is a crazy psycho.
I do feel sorry for the prisoners in the prison scandal, as 70-90% of them were arrested by mistake according to the ICRC report disclosed the past few days (quoting coalition officers.

Lastly, I’m not well informed on your final question- is it just Western media that are reporting that Arab media do not cover the issue, or has someone gone and counted the Arab news sources that reported on the issue? I was under the impression that newspapers all over Iraq reported it.
Sorry – the expletive was just my reaction to seeing the photos with all those guns in the aircraft!
OK, whew. I thought you were angry with me. 🙂
What was the weight of one Ma Deuce and all of its associated equipment? Mounts, ammo, etc…?
2 nose turrets? Was that heavier than the single quad turret found in the RAF’s Lancasters/other bombers?
That’s probably a bad comparison since the RAF planes used the lighter 0.303s.
Awesome, and they go to the original enlarged picture too!
One has to have enough progeny to defeat the killer koalas, then eat them.
Now it’s my turn – yes, there was a similar proposal with the Liberator, this time called XB-41 and YB-41. One XB-41 was converted (41-11822, a former B-24D built by Consolidated at San Diego) to carry 14 .50 machineguns. Two nose turrets (one upper one low replacing the bomb-aiming window), two upper fuselage turrets, two waist turrets and a tail turret each with two guns. It was discontinued not only because of the additional weight which would make it unable to keep up with it’s bombing compadres, but also because the centre of gravity had moved which made the XB-41 very unstable. Because of this and the experience with the YB-40s, the whole project got canned. 41-11822 got it’s guns and armour stripped and became a TB-24D trainer.
The official USAF Museum site with an image of the Liberator is at http://www.wpafb.af.mil/museum/research/bombers/b3-90.htm

Is the HUD glowing green because it’s turned on, and the display figures are shown in green, or is their some sort of intereference from reflected and incident light that’s causing the “glow”?
Did you have bigger version of the picture to put as wallpaper. it is so beautiful.
regards,
Sorry, that’s the only picture I have for now. If I find a bigger one, I’ll post it.
