Here’s the pic of the PAF roundel, cropped.

I couldn’t find anyone saying anything about Ayesha Siddiqha that at ACIG.This story isn’t even posted there yet.
Neither could I. At any rate, Siddiqha is not one of the regular JDW articles, so it’s best to approach every article cum grano salis.
I just realized something quite interesting. The pictures of the 03 prototype posted here all had the CAC emblem on the tail.
The one in the JDW article has a PAF roundel.

On acig, the pakistanis are saying that they and pakdef don’t consider Ayesha Siddiqui to be a credible source. Guess that explains the IRST and stuff…..
But what do they know of Michael J Gething, the aerospace consultant? It is not known what parts he contributed.
well, do they have info to the contrary?
Hmm, any guesses as to whether the designation pod of LGBs will be Chinese, or Russian, or French?
This supports my earlier theory that the SD-10 and PL-12 are two separate missiles. After all, SD is the export/factory designation, not the official name given by the PLAAF.
Perhaps the SD-10 is using the seeker derived from the Russian Project R-129 with Agat 9B1348 active radar seeker, while the PL-12 for domestic use may be using a further development of the indigenous AMR-1 seeker.
well i suppose they could be dropped if the pilot inverted the plane.
one Lightning Both with overwing fuel tanks.
I guess those aren’t drop tanks then.:)
What is more interesting is a Chinese IRST. Possibly technology to be used on their indigenous J-11 program as well?
Well, that’s the first time I’ve ever seen fuel tanks on top of the wings. Doesn’t that decrease performance significantly?
I think Antonov signed a MoU with China recently on the An-70 suggesting that they might have joint production, but nothing has come of it. Perhaps China prefers development of their own indigenous Y8-X.
I don’t remember whether it was AW&ST or FI, but one of them was recently carrying an article comparing the An-70, A-400M, and one other transport.

Flood.
Perhaps number 2 can be Red Snapper?
Well, if the incoming NEO is a lot larger than the one you’re steering, I can see why there might be problems…
