Another advantage was that when depressing the guns the seat would
go up which made aiming for the gunner much easier. The type E turret was
considered to be the best gunturret at the time.

Prop blades are from a P-39 IIRC, and will be replaced when the originals becomes available I heard.

Don’t think any Aircobra ever flew with that kind of prop, a pic of this
aircraft in flypast iirc last years showed it with a P39 prop but this looks
to be a mock up German prop
Nice airframe anyway

We have have nothing but praise for those who ressurect derelict aircraft for generations to see, great to read that some new restorations are emerging after so long in storage
