My apologies for the Thread title I used here, Yes it is definately about past balbos at duxford being called off not this years.
Also was the biggest balbo ever at Legends at the 1996 show ? I seem
to recall there being 39 aircraft in the formation am I right ?
I remember the saturday of Legends 2009, I arrived at the airfield early to find duxford and the flightline shrouded in Fog, omens didnt look good for the display but by lunchtime as if by magic, the clag dissapeared to give reasonable conditions for the display, and later some sunshine as the afternoon progressed.
Duxford Displays do get more of there fair share of windy conditions, certainly been to many of the May shows and been greeted by gusting conditions.

Was Vulcan XH558 flown in the manner she was at Cosford and Kemble today at Sunderland i.e. high speed arrival and some wingovers ?

Regards
Apparently it was a dodgy pledge that caused the massive jump to a million :-

Just wondering, did the whole of the BBMF Display i.e. Lancaster Spitfire and Hurricane on the Friday of the Lowestoft Airshow ?
Regards
Eddie Winch:)
am I right in thinking a BBMF Hurricane and Spitfire are also participating at Legends aswell as the BBMF Dakota,
Regards
Was the 1997 Airshow season bad for the BBMF ?, I remember Shows Such as Fighter meet, Elvington, Woodford e.t.c all being very wet affairs
I quite like the Dakota, Spitfire and Hurricane formation of the BBMF a nice contrast in sounds, However I think its unfair that the BBMF havnt allocated the Lancaster to at least one of the Flying Legend Days, The Lancaster Spit and Hurri could have gone to Fairford one day and then duxford the other,
