If you dont like a programme dont watch it, if you dont watch a programme dont comment on it.
Relying on second hand facts as gospel is not a valid reason to comment on the programme youy did not see.
The current Top Gear is by far the best entertainment programme on the TV there are very few programme I make sure I do not miss Top Gear is one of them, its an hour of laugher and cars a nice cool beer (or a vodka!) some snaks what more could a bloke want…
Except a DB9, twin seat Spitfire, pilots licence and stack of cash to run them!

Mark:
As long as she is safe and loved I dont care if she is a stock RAF restoration, a stock Aussie aircraft or the Napier aircraft at least you have saved her for the future, would have been nicew for her to stay here in the UK but she was not loved by those that owned her at least she is in a better home now and in a much better envioment.
Good luck with the project.

What poster is it you have, your a lucky so and so a pass and opening day programme I would sell my right arm for them!
Dug out the other leaflet,

The front

The back with instruction on how to fold and fly it!
The other year they landed at Manston and were flown in by Merlin.
The problem with the Reds landing at Southend is they would have to do a 10 ship streaming take off…
Now that would be something to see!
Have dug out one of the museum leaflets.

The back cover and cover

The inside.
(The red box is just a anti-copy thing I added all it covers up is…My secret;) )
Will seach for the other leaflet which is probably unique amungst aircraft museum leaflets as the back of of had instruction on how it can be folded and flown as a paper plane!
The centre of the display line is the Maxims Casino (Westcliff Casino) a good high up viewing spot is by the Cliffs Pavilion and a new spot is the site of the ex-bandstand by Prittlewell Square.
Meteor and Sea Hawk are at Vallance.
There is only one hanger she can fit in at Southend the one with the “Top Hat”
Converted just for the Belfast when they first joined Heavy Lift (first time round)
Flying out to another UK airfield (FT went to Prestwick) expected depature is May or June hopefully there will be a couple of check flights round Southend first.
Who know it might coinside with an airshow at the end of May…
Only just read this thread and am staggered about the fate of the Lincoln, how can such a rare aircraft be complete in 1982 end up as a pile of bits now.
I haven’t read all the posts properly admittedly and they’re slightly confusing in hindsight, but can someone add a history of the Lincoln (and parts) post Southend? Where is it all now?

The last to leave sadly in the back of many skips.
The site was converted in to Roller City and is now a private members club with roman style marble swimming baths.
