Its such a load of crap. how can a law like that be enforced? I’m a smoker, yes I know I smell bad and could die (I like the rest of us will die anyway) but heres the thing I’m a law abiding smoker, I don’t smoke in pubs/clubs/restaurants and I don’t mind going outside for a cig. I don’t smoke in my own home (voluntarily I go outside) I do smoke in my car (but not when non-smokers are passengers) I don’t smoke in other peoples houses or cars if they don’t smoke but I do if they do. Like a lot of other smokers I’m bending over backwards to keep the environment around non-smokers clean and its still not good enough!!
Heres how it is I’m addicted to nicotine its a wonderful drug and I enjoy it, its the other crap that’s impregnated into tobacco that kills us, a list of 599! other things in cigs can be found here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_additives_in_cigarettes
Before I hear the usual its bad for you etc etc, I know and I’m fully aware of that but its my lifestyle choice to smoke, it could be worse I could choose to be an alcoholic hang out on the streets making a nuisance of myself and annoying everybody. Theres drunks in every town, while not yet the social lepers that smokers are they should be, and I hope soon will be!
Seems to have been missed? Understatement, thing what gets me annoyed is people will pay that, and then the RAFM will think its ok to charge more than a RIAT or Duxford airshow ticket for something that is very mediocre. As for seeing the Vulcan cockpit well thats just plane jumping on the band wagon.
Cool thanks chaps, that explains why Lancaster’s didn’t have invasion stripes. However I did change my Google search words and came up with this…

Apparently its a Lanc belonging to 550 Squadron
Insanity is not just for the insane!!
Of course they are being paid, the programme was (probably) recorded last year. They are probably all vacationing in the Bahamas as we sit here in good old blighty freezing!!
Never believe what you see on TV, its a business like any other, there for one thing, to make money.
On a similar vein but different aircraft, XR713 http://www.lightnings.org.uk/Save_XR713.aspx
Yep ZA399 formerly at Cosford

Depends what you call a ‘real’ GR.4…
http://www.yorkshireairmuseum.org/exhibits/aircraft-exhibits/post-world-war-ii-aircraft/panavia-tornado-gr4
I am aware of that one but don’t count it, mainly because it is a prototype/pre-production airframe and not the final finished front line jet
Is it the first (real) GR4 to be preserved?
So it is for a passenger, thanks guys
What happened to all the ones that were parked around Mildenhall and Lakenheath in the 80s? Scrapped, I presume?
I belive they all were along with the UH ones and most of the other USAF BDRT ones
Heres the few I have photographed in various museums, the bottom two shots might not be Mystere’s!
not just the Aussies
not just the Aussies
