I’ll be underneath the left wing and I’ll be wearing a red carnation and carrying a copy of the times under my right arm.

In that case you may be more comfortable under the right wing 😉 🙂

Problem is Trumper, a recent thread discovered that too many stickies annoys many forumites. Perhaps the best thing to do is just to bump them up occasional to ensure they are not lost.

It is still far superior to any big budget offerings from Hollywood etc. Nor would they have included that delicious bit with the girl and the joystick!

Still has the bolted on love triangle narrative. I think the thing that interests me most about the film is the treatment of the pilots after the war.

My opinion of it first time round was pretty low, maybe another watch tor re-evaluate would be worthwhile.

Not a dedicated visit for aviation im afraid. Ottawa seems like a good place to visit. The bus route seems very regular. They have a Lanc too 🙂 No doubt I shall post the pictures on my return.

    Thanks for all the info.

They were hoping to have her on the ‘curcuit’ last year, it will be well worth the wait! 😀

Interesting how the Spitfire has now gone and they have now aquired the Mustang. I wonder what the ‘thinking’ behind that was? (Just Curious 😮 )

Hoping to get up to Breighton for an open day this year!

Russ, haven’t they got another Spitfire that they hope to restore in the long term? Might be wrong but that was my understanding.

Nice selection – just a little bit of lightening up in PS will enhance the slighly dark shots. With digital, it’s much better to have an underexposed image as something can usually be done with it; if it’s overexposed there’s nothing there to manipulate!

alternatively, practice getting he exposure right in the first place. Although photoshopp can work wonders in some instances, its always better to start off with excellent raw materials rather than struggle with a poor image.

Thanks for the images La Harve, there are some excellent photographers who im sure would divulge tips if you need particular help with an aspect of your aviation photography.

    best regards,

A fantastic place! Been twice now for no other reason than just for the sake of it. Bit of a pain to get to though. 7hrs coach from Bodo which in turn is a long long train journey from Oslo, or a just aslong train journey from Stockholm. Great Youth hostel too!

wasn’t the lanc scheduled for repaint in different markings?

only when Lancman arrives with his PO-S decal sheet.

speaking of Lancman, all these pictures of Avro’s finest (the version with two main wheels rather than legs) and no sign of him 😮
