Thanks for the tidy up Bob.
Bumping this one back up again.
Has anyone a history of operations flown by this aircraft? I would be most grateful if someone could come up with them.
As an ex pat who lived his formative years in the UK and who now lives in the US I found this series wonderful. I managed to find it on You Tube and throughly enjoyed it, British comedy at its best

His name does not appear in Oliver Clutton-Brock’s “Footprints On The Sands Of Time” which lists Bomber Command POWs. He is listed in this RAF POW prisoner list. http://www.rafcommands.com/Air%20Force%20PoWs/RAF%20POWs%20Query%20S_1.html
It is a shame you do not have a website or post updates here the same as Mathias Dorst in Germany. I cannot stand FaceBook myself but that is just me I would think
I couldn’t find it on facebook.
I have to agree with the idea of BBMF getting a third Hurri, although it would be nice if they didn’t have to sell anything in order to get hold of it. It would take deep pockets and a huge dollop of generosity, but it would be great to see one donated to the Flight. BBMF displaying without a Hurricane, as they sometimes have to, just doesn’t seem right.
A bit of a long shot I know, but you never know who’s reading this. 😀
I would like to see Lottery Money purchase one for the Memorial Flight.

JA977 was lost near Metz between 23 and 24 september 1943, during a raid on Mannheim.
Interestingly, my father’s aircraft Lancaster JA 708 was lost on that same raid. I have no knowledge of where JA 708 crashed.
Not that it adds to this thread but I did find the wreckage of my father’s aircraft, you can read about it here. http://wallyswar.wordpress.com/crash-site-research/
Many thanks Terry, all is clear now.
