That would have been at a skydiving “convention” at Quincy, Illinois.

It would appear that the journo’s “research” may have been limited pretty much to this web site, then!

    Exactly!

Not wishing to distract from the main drift of the thread now… Do we know why an eight man crew? Was there a second dickey, or was it D-Day sightseeing?

There is something very strange here. How can it be that so much personal equipment and clothing is found but no trace of the crew members? Perhaps this is a world first in the history of crash recovery?

Perhaps they have found remains and are keeping it quiet pending D.N.A. testing, just a thought.

The Daily Mail had the gall to take the photographs of the crew from a 97 Squadron website http://www.97squadron.co.uk/Coningsby%20crew%20Carter.html and then the cheeky ******s put their own copyright upon them.

I think it was it Carry On Doctor when the line came up where a doctor was examining a young voluptuous girl with his stethoscope.

Placing the stethoscope on the young ladies chest the doctor says “Big breaths”

To which the girl replied, “Yes and I’m only 16.”
