Dear David,
Thanks for this. We do have two Hunters, but would be willing to look after
it, if it was offered.
We have had good relations with Airfix over the years and did consider it
when it was first mooted. However, we do not have funds to buy it, and as a
nationally registered museum it would need to be donated f.o.c. for us to
accept it into the Collection. We can arrange transport via the RAF and if
Airfix, or its subsidiaries wish to be involved in sponsorship I’m not
adverse to any sort of advertising on site.
If you have a means of conveying this to the owners, we would be very
grateful.
Thanks for your interest.
How about this;)
what is it and what is it fitted to?
i love aviation art, better than walking into ferens art gallery and staring at an atempt of some something which is suposed to stir your feelings, unlike aviation art which sucks you right into the moment even if its only for a second. fantastic piece
Armament to the extreme?, imagine voulentering for a flight in one of these:confused: .
IIRC they were rocket powered and also there were plans to drop them free fall from a bomber 😮 .
John.
is that an okka piloted bomb?
the germans used to drop chains on to B-17 bombers from above to foul up their props and ive heard of a mossie with a 30 mm bofors
what an unusal aircraft look like a cross between a hughes 500 heli and a bronco never heard of it before
i wouldnt mind looking in that museum
