Sorry I didn’t mean it that way, I mean’t it possibly could have been the reason for not posting the next shot which would have shown the crew more clearly and as the flap was already visible it must have been something like that. Bit like a what happened next scenario.

First-class back-pedal there. Not quite sure I understand it, mind!

    Anyway both pilots were male.

The original paperback is currently 2.99 in my local branch of ‘The Works’.

BTW anyone noticed the mistake in that edition on the caption to the photo showing two Buccs? It says Bucc S1s when in fact you can see by the intake sizes it’s actually an S1 and an S2.

yes I will be getting out more when the better weather arrives.

    OHB

Yes and lest we forget we lost Ormond Haydon-Baillie around the same time.

    Another gifted aviator.

Did I correctly count 14 jet engines on the aeroplane, 4 either side of the cockpit and 3 pairs on the fusalage spine?

The text says 8 engines of type ‘TRD NK87’, each of 13000kg thrust (= 28600 lb each).

It also says 6 PU PKR EM-80 Moskit weapons.

I guess these are your tubes on the fuselage spine?
