    Hi All,
At first glance like you say looks a good candidate for a restoration. I have always like this variation of the Sabre, Bird Dog’s are the name aren’t they ? need to see more of these 50’s era aircraft flying, although if as you say close up it’s not very interesting it could still yield a lot of parts for other restorations.
No good comes of planting them in parks just to rust away, I am sure if enough people know about it pending move someone will have an Idea to restore her to her former glory.

    Hi All,
To all you snappers many thanks yet again for a superb array of pictures taken keep up the good work all. :eagerness:
    DCW,
Any Idea what the boxes are on the port side and centre above the cockpit glass, judging by the material that you can see within theses box’s they appear to be cooling grills but I know I am wrong ? Are they some type of sensors ?

    Hi All,
    snafu352,
That obviously explains why they are stopping the Kurds in turkey from joining the fight, I thought at the time why are they doing that ? if they want to go let them IMHO so long as the fight doesn’t cross into Turkey. My problem with it is that Kurds that are in different countries as Asylum seekers/Immigrants whatever you want to call them are now kicking off saying the countries that they are in should be doing more to combat Is for them, well it just baffles me why they ran away to other countries instead of staying put and fighting with those who are now on the verge of collapse.
Instead they know what a soft life they have now compared to what they had, if they really feel the way that they do should they not be saying let us go and fight instead of rioting in the countries who have graciously given them sanctuary ?
As far as your question goes I think that if Turkey does not act it will have home grown problem on top of dealing with the aftermath of what is happening on their border, possibly seeing Turkey fighting on different fronts from IS on their borders and a gorilla warfare campaign from the Kurds within as well as fighting the PKK elsewhere and this would lead to other problems and possibly the fall of Turkey itself at the most extreme of scenarios ?

    Hi All,
Willow Creek – Very disappointing found footage type film almost to the point of boredom, Couple venture into the Patterson/Gimmlin Bigfoot sighting area to do a documentary etc.etc.etc. fast forward to the last 15 or so minutes that is when things happen and then it over in a flash.

    Hi All,
I think that it is the film industry running out of original Ideas surely with all the books that have been written there must be other funny WWII material around and like mentioned already the St Trinians was a dismal remake, so it just goes to show that reviving some old programmes as Films can not always be a good thing.
Like bazv has pointed out though a remake of an old film is a refreshing idea as long as the story follows the original and not for example of political correctness have this that and the other included. I liked the part in the film were John Goodman has the fire retardant dumped on him by Richard Dreyfuss’s replacement.:D

    Hi All,
    Tony,
On the LPG web page they had been campaigning to save this aircraft asking for donations to save it for the Wattisham Station Heritage for a while so don’t know what happened in the meantime ? http://www.lightnings.org.uk/
