Yeah plenty of story’s never get back, My Granddad told of two incidents he witnessed in Africa while with the eight Army 1st was a Spitfire land perfectly when they got to the aircraft the Pilot was dead, 2nd a 109 crashed sliding right in front of the wagon he was in, another not aviation related was him and his mates where transferring prisoners of different ranks putting them into the backs of wagons, all was going well when an Officer refused to sit with lower ranks, after a few choice words and still refusing they got this big jock to ask him when he declined he promptly gave the officer a boot up the backside he soon changed his mind. :highly_amused:

On another note that bint who has told everybody that her eight kids and £500 a week isn’t enough and can’t pay her rent ? has now said that she intends to have another kid and will not think of going to work till her youngest is eighteen ?????? Just a couple of things she should really learn how to do keep
her legs closed and live within her means, I mean if she can afford to buy a car, Put petrol, Insure the thing, Tax it, repair it when faulty then surely she can afford her rent ? If I had decided to not work, Ask for a 3 bed house, Not pay rent, Ask for a car, Ask for money to live would I get it ? would I hell! yet we who have worked are paying for her lifestyle that normal people who wanted it would have to work long ,long hrs. for anyway near what she gets in hand-outs ?????????????

Why should they? They do restorations and maintenance work, they do not collect planes themselves, nor do they have a museum. They buy and sell as well, yes, but I do not think this one would fit in. MaxAlpha (in some way associated? to MeierMotors) does have and operate own planes, but they do buy and sell them as well, I do not think they collect them per se. The market for high priced warbirds seems to be a little narrow at the moment, or at least so it seems to me. Or those who can afford one simply wait until the right one hits the market, not buying “Ersatz” if they want a special one?
