Just sat through Halloween(2007).
The first 50 minutes or so fills in the back-story to Michael Myers past and,for gore-hounds,is worth a watch. The rest of the film, however,is a very bad re-make of a classic horror film.No character development at all and more plot-holes than you can shake a stick at.Michael is reduced to “the Asian girl with the long, dank hair”.As someone on IMDB said “A film about morons, for morons.”
Pop Quiz………spot “the monkey” 😎
Do you know if they’ll make it in a North American format edition?
Having said that, the newer widescreen edition (the one with extras…as opposed to my first DVD copy which did not…gee, I wonder how many DVDs of the same film I’ll have to buy?:D ) looked and sounded pretty good on my new 52″ LCD.
Unlikely. It’s advertised as a Limited Edition, but fails to mention to how many units.

Mr. Postman just delivered the super duper edition of Battle Of Britain.
Cracking picture,as is the Dolby or DTS 5.1 soundtrack.Presented in a very nice box, which includes a limited print of our fighter planes doing what they were designed to do,and a book, written by Stephen Bungay, entitled The Most Dangerous Enemy [ “The most exhaustive and detailed account of the Battle of Britain that has yet appeared”…..The Times Literary Suppliment].
I reckon that everybody should have this on their Christmas wish list.

When you consider that all the world had pre-Beatles were Cliff Richard and The Shadows, Elvis Presley, and a load of left-overs from a previous era – Sinatra, Matt Munro, etc etc it should come as no surprise that their music was seized upon.
I know – I was there.
Moggy
That “previous era” music was all that was played on national radio(the BBC Light Program) in the early 60’s.Thank God for the Pirates-London,Caroline,North Sea International, even Radio Luxemburg(God bless ’em). Finally,we had a free choice of what kind of music WE wanted to listen to,played by people we could identify with.
I was there to,sitting in a car on a cliff-top,listening to the radio, turning the head-lights on and off when Johnny Walker gave the word:cool: .

Just got a reply from Ian Peters from the RSPB.They’re known as outlier populations of ring-necked parakeets and,as yet, they are not aware of any conservation problems caused by these birds. So,I’m gonna enjoy them while I can 🙂 .

have you ever stopped to consider just how many of these illumination units there are in the world ?.how many are now lit at this time ?and if these lamps were all joined togeather, would this then create the largest table in the world so to speak,?furthermore if this were your table who would you invite to sit round it?
answers please on a stamped addressed envelope marked “tomorrows new yesterdays only” (with apologys to peter sellers) thankyou.:)
This infiltration of small lighting units in the media must stop. The Times letters page has been plagued by such questions for months.I have since canceled my subscription.Their proliferation is,I’m glad to say,in decline, seeing as tables as such are a thing of the past (ignore what Ikea says,it’s government spin).A recent poll taken in the Brazilian rain forests came up with not a one!
Here,in my igloo,I don’t need one as the sun shines 25 hours a day and illuminates my domicile through the holes I made in the roof.
If I put a table on my wish-list to Santa, and if he delivers,I would invite the little old lady with the shopping-bag-on-wheels,the nutter that is always on the night bus,the guy who invented IMAX,and the youngest relative of The Earl Of Sandwich.
