Yak sha mash Andy, Yes I remember your father well 🙂 We had a great Police Air Wing until Idi Amin came and destroyed the country 🙁 I flew with your father a few times, once as co pilot in the Caribou 🙂 I presume he was killed in 5XUUW. That must have been after I left Uganda. I also remember Stash, a chap from Poland informed me of his passing, aged 93 ! Very well known in UK and Poland. After Uganda I went to Oman, then to Cargolux, in Luxembourg, servicing CL44, DC8, 707, and 747 a/c. Then to Australia ( where I live ) as LAME supervisor on 747 overhaul. My eldest son was a pilot with MBA in PNG ( now a film producer in Tokyo 🙂 Restore Austin cars now 🙂 and play golf 🙂 Regards, Barry.

    Ugandan Fouga Magisters.

I was in Uganda ( Police Air Wing ) 1965-67. There were Fouga’s at Entebbe. The Isreali Air Force were training the Ugandan pilots. BTW, Idi Amin could not fit into the cockpit 😉 May have photos somewhere ? Can’t remember how many A/C they had. Hope this helps. cya

    VH-NLK 737-300 S/N 23635 LN ( Our Airline ) Nauru.

This A/C is 23.6 years old, and still in service ! I wonder if this A/C is having checks done ? Flying passengers to/from Norfolk Island in the Mid Pacific/Australia area. Don’t know how many cycles it has done ? When must these old birds be retired ? Cash strapped Norfolk Island can’t buy an A/C.
A/C history at Airfleets.Net. I’m flying to Norfolk in November 🙂 CASA does not show Rego of this A/C, Nauru is maybe a back door ? Ex. LAME
