Well it was a study done by Dornier. Afaik it was made public in 1986 and caused quite some trouble in the intellgience community, as it was seen as a serious information leak. After that the project went black.

Considering SAMs as “offensive” shows ignorance and is not healthy for NATO defences. EU candidate members do not consider such cr@p as “offensive”, unless they think we are clueless…

You are right about the Army-Navy /Air Force allocation.

You forgot “Velos” and Stingers… 😉
I don´t know my freind a S-400 on Rhodes would probably cover as much turkish airspace as they cover greek airspace. “Offensive” is perhaps a bit hard, but definitively unfriendly would describe such a move. .
MY personal DUS collection is advancing as the last 2 pics show. I just could not resist the other ones.
if what ye say is true, then the Rafaleish and Sukhoieth have the most chanceeth.
After all the Taifun hasn’t exactly moved away from critical American components yet has it.. let alone the Gripen 😀
Care to point out the american core components in the EF ??

First off all given the limitations on the national budget the euro has posed on the Greek government I seriously doubt they will buy any new fighter in the future. However a smaller number of Rafale and/or EF is possible. 60 planes won´t happen.
The contract will never go toe Airbus – believe me. Boeing will just have to come up with a less favorable offer.
