Luz Air, Euro Atlantic come to my mind. And there is rumor about a new company starting in Munich with TriStars. Name is said to be “Air Munich”. But could very well have been an april fools joke.

Good stuff… Long time since I’ve been to DUS – LTU had MD-11s last time I was there – but will be back over the late-May bank holiday weekend.

PS: Paul, any suggestions on where to stay, reasonable price, don’t want a dump?

Which dates ? Perhaps I can show up.

It all depends on the airline. If you are large enough you can even operate the 737NG and the A320 side by side, if the deal to buy one and not the other is so good that you can´t say no.
If you are large enough to operate a sizeable fleet of any type, then you do not need commonality, as you will be very rarely shifting crews from one fleet to the other.
If you can do it fine, but not if you have to buy an inferior plane because of it.

If you are hwoever a smaller airline, who operates some long-range wide-bodies and a sozen or so standardbodies, then it becomes vital for your operation.

Not me man I’m still licking my wounds over my claim that the J-10 with four AAMs WASN’T Photoshoped. 😮 I’ve been using Photoshop professionally for about ten years now but on the J-10 I burned myself. I didn’t even look at it that close and ass-U-me’d it was real because I’d seen it so many times. I was begging for it and I got it with both barrels LOL. That said however the clouds do look a bit CGI and the saturation of the color on the ?HUD. . . .well if you look at real ones they’re generally pretty muted.

I thought the same. And part of the plane are sharp while others are blurry, some edges however are not sharp. I can imagine that somebody used an F-15 and altered in to resemble an F-22. The front cockpit seems to big to be an F-22, looks like a two seat plane to me.

I can´t say even after looking at it with PS. My feeling says F-15E but I could be very wrong.
