    The regional airports shouldn’t hold their breaths,at least thats what we have been told.The new runway at LHR won’t open till around 2011,though it is a of light for us.

    Khalifa and Air Algérie co-operate on domestic flights.Khalifa passengers can change in Algiers on to an Air Algérie domestic flights.Khalifa and Air Algérie also agreed to co-operate on the vital traffic between Algeria and France in many ways,so this A340 is probably showing their agreement.

    I would think it would be necessery for the UK economy because it encourages for tourists to fly in to the country and also more Brits to go on holiday.If we have good airports more buisness’ might set up in the UK as well.Thousands of jobs being created from the expansions as well.

    I doubt the new airport in London would get the go ahead.Cliffe is far too expensive and the economic benefits are pretty low.The only good options in south east England are new runways at STN and LHR.
    I was surprised that Manston was mentioned in these plans,even if it were just for cargo.

    Over the next 5 years ANA will retire 32 aircraft (8 747-100SRs,2 747-200LR,8 767-300s and 7 A321s)The airline will be replacing them with 34 new aircraft.

    Brilliant aircraft and pictures!I’ve seen pictures of the cockpit which,as expected,looks very similar to that of the -300.The economy class looks very comfortable with PTVs and the first class cabin looks luxurious as would be expected of this new hi-tech machine.

    [updated:LAST EDITED ON 22-07-02 AT 03:07 PM (GMT)]Other varients between the A330 and A340,aside from the number of engines, are slight changes to the wingand internal systems,including fuel tankage.Also the number of passengers each can sit.The A330-300 can carry 335 whereas the A340-200 can carry 303.The A330-300 can carry 293 and the A340-300 can carry 335 passengers.
    Other than a few other small things I think that both have much the same features which include:
    Identical systems.
    Airframe.
    Flightdeck.
    Wings.
