Just watched it on i player, fascinating program.

My first Airfix Beaufighter which I think was a Coastal Command variant had a machine gun in the rear bubble. Vickers K if I recall correctly.

Both types featured amongst my favourite Dogfight Doubles.

Used to think of them as equally capable aircraft, suited to very similar roles, maybe the Mosquito comes slightly ahead in the bomber role.

Indeed trumper,a split second is all it takes, as I alluded to earlier, there is no possible excuse, those who argue the toss, just don’t know the far reaching effects, seriously.

Been there, hope no one has to follow me, but no doubt they will. Seeing some one extinguished in front of you is pretty final, no ifs, no butts, no smart forum type arguments or clever word play, game over, then being left to deal with it.
