That looks like a good recovery to me, in what I can only imagine to be in rather hot & dusty conditions 😎
Thanks for the update qattara ![]()

I cannot believe you mentioned Carry On films in a thread about humour. They were terrible at the time and have dated very badly.
Surely you’re not including ‘Carry On Up The Khyber’ in that statement? 😮
As a great man once said “Bring on the dancing girls. Get rid of this idiot! ” 😉

Could this be it?

The thing here is these sort of programs never really cater for the enthusiast, if they did I’d imagine that the average licence payer would be the one ending up disappointed & that would cause a bit of a stink.
As a bite sized 1hr programme, I found it OK I suppose, sort of nice to see that the BBC had recognised that we were once good at something, had a sinking feeing when the TSR2 was featured, because once that whole deal is mentioned, all kind of hell breaks out on here….no wait! Forget that 😮
cue the hovis music…
I can never recall actually buying bottled water when I was a kid. When going long distance my bike I’d fill my dads old WWII issue canteen with tap water & secure it to cycle rack, later I went all modern & installed pukka twin ‘racing’ style drinking bottles.
These days when I take the car away racing, a 20ltr plastic Jerry can of finest Cornish tap water comes along as well, for both human & automotive consumption.
