Well, I suppose it has become a hot topic of late, just thought I’d help it along with a back-up on the whole pickeroo thing 😉

Indeed, I’d like to also suggest not to quote the pics, unless there is one that raises a specific query.

Well, I just fired an email to the planners, doubt it’ll do much good, but gives one a feel good factor.
You know there is a certain newspaper (some on here would dispute it being called that) that loves stories such as these,I might just bring it to their attention. Hopefully they’ll dispatch a stormtroope…sorry reporter, to boot MV Planning right in the nads.
??? Do the gun mountings still survive in the Paphos Shacks, or in the AEWs ?? Any corrections or additions ???

And unions wouldn’t dream of ever intimidating non-union members that hadn’t voted for strike action or belonged to a different union.
Oddly enough they haven’t, at least with me. I’m one of these over paid civil servants that everyone loves to hate, part of the section is on strike today (to the best of my knowledge) and the rest are in UNITE, no pressure has been applied to anyone either way.
Anyhow, I’m on leave this week so it matters not, & I’ve been spending my time shopping for pin stripe suits, bowler hats, brogues & new brief case, god knows how I’m going to afford them though as my “stratospheric” public purse salary is uncomfortably close to Pagens .
The reasonable pension is/was* (*delete as & when) a real selling point to the job, it would be nice to hang on to it, to make up for the low wages.

After due consideration I have come up with a rather radical theory about this-
The hapless Earhart & Noonan failed to find land, ran of fuel & crashed into the water.
Poor old Shackleton last aircraft in the RAF (by a country mile!) to use a gun turret, Peter is right as the turret is a Boulton Paul N Type remotely sighted.
Would be nice on the list just for completeness.
Indeed, I have the Weapons Notes for the Shack N Type set up-
