Hasn’t that ‘spaceman’ got his helmet on back-to-front? 😀

Don’t know, can only see him from the waist up 😉

No, it’s just postponed. Apparently the followers prayed all day and asked God to postpone it. Probably so that they can complete their fundraising.

Parallels could be drawn here 😀

    I’ll get my coat 😮

Private Godfrey, who had in fact been awarded the Military Medal whilst acting as a stretcher bearer on the Western Front. Arnold Ridley, who played Godfrey, was I believe wounded in both the First and Second World Wars.

He also wrote “The Ghost Train”

Watched Dads Army the first time around & have since seem just about every episode many times, but still watch it when it’s repeated on TV.

Classic British comedy at its very best 😎

Well, I recall the 1965 movie (trailer) & the secret weapons program that featured R V Jones, with a smattering of The World At War plus what my Dad told me of the deal, I had a rough idea of the plot 😀

But as echoed on the original thread, this was a very polished & informative program, a refreshing change from the usual rubbish. 😎
