Found this report whilst looking for something else http://www.aeroweb-fr.net/actualites/2012/05/meeting-de-la-ferte-alais-b-17-la-forteresse-volante seems Pink Lady once a regular visitor at Duxford could be back in the air one day if i read the translation correct ?

Well, for a start there’s a distinct possibility of a Blenheim and a couple of Spitfires emerging from ARCo/HFL.

maybe one like this one all be it in a different colour and nose configuration !!??

Thanks for putting me correct Charlie think it was a case of cant see wood for trees !!! well im now down for the first 3 anyway think the little new lady will be joining me for one day at Legends may even treat her to a classic wings flight on the day ? The Spring Show is already announced as the D-Day Anniversary Show. Legends will be Legends with a few surprises if possible, no doubt, and the Autumn Show, now on Saturday will be the Autumn Show. No theme has yet been announced for the Duxford Show in September.

Thanks Charlie so looks like i could be doing Duxford a lot next year 😮 but where did you see the spring show advertised ? do you have a date or is it May Bank Holiday (end off) ……….. not sure what you mean by Autumn show is it only Saturday or a weekend show as normal ? if so i think its weekend away for Spring,:eagerness: Friday 2 Sunday legends :eagerness: and either Friday 2 Sunday Autumn or Friday Saturday :eagerness: then October ???? 😎

hope im not getting to a head of everyone but 2014 at Duxford is my year specially after my documented problems in 2013 and two and a half visits …. So what does that bring theme wise all i can see for now is 100 years since the outbreak of WW1 and 70th Anniversarry of operation Overlord (D-Day) does this mean mouth watering desires for Spring, Summer & autumn shows and of course Legends ? must be lots that can happen :very_drunk: :angel: :eagerness:

Ok so i may be a bit lost with all this and not followed the post correct but does this mean that their are potentially 4 more Wildcats being restored to fly joining the TFC one ?

It can be very frustrating searching for service records or information from WW2 Ancestry.co.uk or .com dont always have what they say they have ! different service i know but one of my relatives was in the Navy, i have his birth certificate and other service records relating to Arctic convoys then he just dissapered in 1944. No Military or civilian records exist but the RN and Merchant Navy contacts i was able to talk to came up with this explanation. RN gunners where often transferred to merchant ships for these convoys, if that was the case his records would have been removed in case he was captured as a merchant seamen with Military service numbers etc etc from that point onwards its a brick wall ? Funny though i have managed to trace history of my family back to 1149.

On the aviation front my Grans brother served as an air photographer aid alongside Churchill my winter project is to try and obtain his service record

Here in Suffolk its stopped and the dark grey has morfed into light grey

Hi yes seems all i have been able to do for quite some time is watch films, off the wheelchair now but on crutches for going out and about seems im in need of an aviation fix a breif looking at the goings on yesterday at Duxford think nursey had it wrong 🙁

Rotten luck – but at least you’ve two out of the four!:)

Thanks Charlie yer think i can look forward to 2014 being better than 2013 at least for getting out and about just have to get behind the wheel again having an unstable snap of my Achilles Tendon has just about stopped me from doing anything.
All i can really on is the great update from everyone on here thanks chaps :eagerness::very_drunk:
