Mark hasn’t posted since his 10.000th, Was that really a goodbye?

And christen it: The Arc of Pino!
Cees
And SM845 is a low back.
Cees
I hope 10.000 is not the limit.
Cees
Ofcoise
Cees
Well SM832 is a high back version.
Cees
That workshop is too clean and well organised.

You can always ask the RAF Museum. Their storage faciltity at Stafford holds about a dozen turrets going nowhere, including BP type E’s as used on the Halifax and Liberator.

I have the Haynes book on restoring a Spitfire and IIRC this aircraft is featured in it regarding a survey for restoration. It was
completely stripped of paint after suffering quite a bit of hangar rash.

I remember the good old days of the Aviodome (then at Schiphol Airport) when I had just started collecting for the Halifax cockpit. Thought I was in heaven.
And left with bags full of instruments, switches etc. (later to be replaced due to various reasons). Also attending Shoreham 2003, even more aircraft porn
with Mosquito seat, Typhoon elevators and all sorts of exciting aircraft bits. A day later at Popham same thing again. But things of the past now.
The Aviodrome aerojumbles later went from bad to worse with more sellers of picture postcards, badges and very little parts.
Ceese
That’s the footage I was referring to. Quite a collection, if only the location was known.
Cees
This was restored by the BBMF wasn’t it?
Cees
Indeed, a very nice littel project. And those Beau panels? New finds?
Cees
John,
You have a full set of foot pedals now?
IIRC we have an assembly (without the pedals) kicking around somewhere too. But not in good conditon though.

Wow, I’m positively surprised to see that W1048 has been dressed up right. Nose turret fairing fitted, bombaimer position framing, some perspex.
Well done, it looks more complete now. How about putting on some engine cowlings on one side to give at least some of it’s grandeur back.
And while they are at it. Put the Stirling tail of LK488 on show too, even unrestored it will look great.
