Just one story of very very many.
Let’s keep remembering them.

Trailing aerial? Otherwise it has to be the pilot’s danglies.
Cees
Could that be a DH prop once fitted on a Napier Sabre?
Tiffy/Tempy

When I visited the Graham White factory last november the buckets standing everywhere looked very authentic.
They had to collect the water from the leaky roof, so building work makes sense.

So the Halifax PN323 cockpit stays at Duxford. What are the plans for it?
I once looked underneath the bombbay and it looked quite corroded. The
Interior is also incomplete. About ten years ago it was repainted internally but
That was it.

What a pity,
Great pics though. The Hercules Halifaxes really looked powerful don’t you think?
Then again, I am biased of course:cool:

Thanks Mike,
You have a pm

Andy,
We have been involved in the recovery of a Polish crewed Lancaster in the past. The aircraft was identified by one the serialnumber plates of the engines (Merlin 28). We were told there was such a list in the UK (Air Historical Branch?)

In Canada a new project is underway tot reconstruct another Halifax for Canada. Is that not news?
The Halifax is not as sexy as the Lancaster to some, but I digress.

Hi Alex,
Any updates?
Cheers

Perhaps you can tweak the topic heading slightly otherwise people might think this is a recent incident.
Just a thought.
Thanks

Halifax LW170
If it can be located.

Hi Paul,
If you mean the RAF Museum reprint, yes.
Any info is appreciated.
Cheers

Thank goodness he’s back!
What kept you?
Cees
Thanks Steve,
But that’s not what I am after. If you look at pics of Mk I and III Lancs with closed bombdoors there is a slight step
in the contour. The nose has a graceful curve downwards but as the front edge of the bombdoors is reached the lines
seem to bulge slight out. Not very noticable but it’s there anyway. If you look at early Mk I’s the belly looks to be
paralell (flat) to the hingeline of the doors. Hope this makes sense.
Could this be to clear the cookie charge?
