The Airforce says it doesnt need them, and that they have other stuff they’d rather spend the money on, yet they get them anyway? Ok……

then sell them to the RAF which really needs their current fleet of C-17s to be used more than just flying hearses (no offence to the war dead)

hate to dig up a thread but whoes looking forward to the 2nd movie this year? Apparently there may be a F-35 in there somewhere (looking at the toyline )

Suprised the F-3h demon hasn’t been mentioned much . This poor thing even in its most improved form had a tendency to drop out of the sky no thanks to its crap engine flaming out in the lightest rain

Why don’t the Aussies resurrect their IML Addax so they can have a “Raptor” and not bother about whether it is gonna be curtailed through us congress?
Or maybe even “Help” the japanese build their ATD-X then they’ll have a sort of a cake and eat it?

Ah yes, the ‘Caspian Sea Monster’. Anyone else catch the TV documentary on this a year or so back? A fascinating beast. Could be the technology may yet be revived.

But the F-35 is not suitable as a stop-gap, since it won’t be available for several years, & the F-2 is in production.

For what ? General support fighter role? F-4EJKAIs perform similar missions to F-2S now . What is the point of procuring a short term expensive fighter asset?

Adapting? All they need do is stick a decent radar into its nose and they got a good all rounder that can do almost anything
