    I agree in part with sealordlawrence in that there is almost certainly an element of trolling on the part of the thread poster.

    Trolling? All I did was highlight a potential risk to the status quo of the allied forces on a militery themed forum. Too me the sickening laughter at the end really got to me (i’m a animal lover) Those gis may as well be tossing their ration heaters at the local human populace as far as i’m concerned. the poor goat may have actually become deaf because of this act (animals have more sensative hearing than humans)

    You know, I’m still baffled a current 4.5 generation support fighter like the Mitsubishi F-2 even in its baseline configuration cannot replace a 40 year old vietnam war era airframe (The Us did it with the F-16adf). Instead the goverment is pushing the purchase of overkill in the Typhoon, Raptors, Superhornets and Lightning 3 s of the fighter world unless they want to replace their f-15s too.

    So whats wrong with Skyhawks with sidewinders?
    They make great air defence assets if theres nothing else onboard your ship . Even the US Navy tried them out on old ww2 aircraft carriers in Vietnam and they have sucessfully intercepted soviet assets from time to time
    besides what else can fit on the sao paulo that doesn’t cost a bomb?

    Wow the color really matches the Typhoon almost making it a twin seat delta winged F-2 btw , doesn’t the Typhoon’s shape match the original FS-X specifications before the US made it a modified F-16?
    Speaking of the F-2, shouldn’t japan start curteiling its production more so it’ll have more money to pay for whatever whizz bang fighter they go with?

    As it looks now, maybe the JASDF should pool its rescources with the RAAF and do a joint buy of a new fighter since both parties have now the same problem, “what should we replace our 40/20 year old fighter jets with?”

    Howabout how in desperate times, Germany started sticking weird ass guns onto their fighters in order to take down bombers like herget’s excuse for overcompensation here(he was the shortest fighter pilot)? 😀
