The Riat website has a full list closer to the time, but it is not online just yet.;)
In ww2 the RAF had inflatable spitfires and other aircraft, more to give a false picture of force deployment than anything.
An aircraft dedicated to the mission of killing human beings is not likely to attract any government’s approval.
As opposed to what? Any combat system is at the end of the day designed to kill someone. This statement could be used to argue against any weapon of war, and yet governments seem happy enough to fund them.
According the the BBC news website, similar incidents that have occured with aircraft from Kinloss have been ignored by the MoD. Even when a safety recommendation is made to have fuel leak sensors fitted, the request was denied and the file closed.
What I want to know is, if another tragic accident like this occurs, then would the MoD be guilty of neglegence, having identified a problem and having done nothing about it? 😡
Good news, I just hope the MoD are convinced to buy a full squadron of them, which would ease the transport strain immensely.
73.7 for me, which I’m pleased with. 🙂

Perhaps, but why would you want to? It is probably optimised for the mud moving mission, which wouldn’t really suit the Typhoon, which has its own Radar in development anyway.
Can you post a link for said articles?
And for the record, I think that LESS money should go on health and education. My logic is that both organisations are so grossly inefficient, with legions of unneeded bureaucrats, that some of the fat could be trimmed away and nobody would much notice. Its no good spending extra money if, like this govt does, you spend it on cr@p. We need proper reform, not money
I heard that teddy bears are looked on as evil and violent by some in Sudan, and that is why they particularly took offense, I don’t know how true this is.

If this poor woman is shot as the protestors wish, then I think we would be within our rights to decelare the situation as reaching “Storm Shadow time”, and react in kind, wars have been started over less.
Sudan has plenty of oil, so the operation would in the long run pay for itself :dev2: 😀 and plus it would give a chance for aid to reach the long suffering people of darfur who deserve our help.

Excellent! Its needed one for years, maybe now we may even see some expansion there?
On a note of replacements, what options are open to the UK, other than the JSF?
Rafale, Typhoon N (please, God No!), Super Hornet, Gripen Naval, any others, and which is most feasible?
