So what would your view on how much of the total UN budget should the US pay? How much would be enough?

Its interesting to note that all of the big contributors are capitalist democracies. No communist paradise past or present in the tops ranks.

I couldn’t get those links to work. To bad. Perhaps they referred to a piece of US senate legislation which I believe was first proposed ba couple of years ago and was aimed at blocking prosecution of Americans by the ICC, however, maybe there was something similar proposed by the US congress. I would be suprised if there was any provision to use military force against the court. The Senate proposal certainly didn’t.

Well Dutchy I assumed we would all know that the fees are based on a formula which determines the ability to pay.

The US paid its arrears before the attack on NY. There are other members who for one reason or another make late payments. At one point apparently over 3 billion US was owed over 2 being non US.

Could Dutchy or anyone supply me with a web site or other source giving details of this law. I believe any such motion would not be passed as it most likely be rejected by the US senate or the president.

Only you could suggest that Europeans were to stupid to know what the issues were during the lead up to and during WWII. Your insights as expressed here will no doubt clear it up for them.

I was going to make a somewhat similar response to Arthur but you beat me to it. Its odd that the US/Saudi relationship is seen as only support for a totalitarian regime because of oil. So lets ask Arthur, to explain European support for the totalitarian regime in Saudia Arabia, and in Iraq, and in Iran, and in Syria, and in Lybia, and in Egypt, etc, etc. Of course the Europeans are never concerned about oil as you pointed out!

I see as type this that the PLO has just killed another bus load folks in Israel.
