    I was reading about General Norton Swartz the other day (the commander of the USAF) and the YMC-130H is listed among the aircraft that he flew

    Of course it does. Even if he or she hasn’t been schooled–and we can argue forever about the value of that–an intelligent person fairly quickly picks up correct spelling from reading. Assuming they read…

    Just supposing its a physicist with a one track mind and no interest in spelling? Or a savant? Some of these people have incredible powers of recall but still cant spell.

    Maybe or maybe not….but incorrect spelling and punctuation can completely alter the meaning of a sentence.

    Not if you work out the context! It can only have one meaning!

    The ability to spell has nothing to do with intelligence, anyway!
