http://www.warbirdz.net/phpBB2/showthread.php?t=3277
not doubting your abilaty to id one(and a t28 has pretty distinctive sound)
but could it be a t28?
paul

the mummy three!!! the film rock’s (well as much as a mummy movie can:diablo:) the beaufighter cgi look awsome and even tho it’s converted to a transport the must have been an aussie on the fx team as it was still in weathered raaf marking’s(green ghost sqdrn sk-n)the sound wasnt as beefy as i thought a beau should be but great to see all the same.

Your scenario happens all the time in the work of vintage race cars…often
Ferraris, and some Jaguars. It gets wrecked in period. Some parts (say, an engine) are used in a rebuild.
Years later when the value of the car is silly, the other remains…not worth re-using/repairing at the time…are used to build a new car around.
So you have two cars claiming the same serial. As Mark 12 points out, its less likely with planes, in park because you can’t unbolt a fuselage (because it’s not bolted)…
but that leads to a question….Has anyone ever heard of two restored planes claiming the same serial?
arent there two seafurie’s claiming to be tg114
ie september fury and argonaught?
i wonder whewre she is going to end up?
great work to all involved
no heavy bomber’s that i’m aware of other than the tiger force that would have been actve in1946

if they can build all these new build loco’s (a1,saint,paitriot etc) why cant we build one little s class streamliner in victoria?.
paul
ps is duchess of hamilton still getting the streamline treatment?

probably the f4u4 iirc faster than the p51 and hellcat and being the newast kid on the block with all the latest devolpment and the corsairs rugged structure a pretty tough customer.
great to hear this project has finally reached it’s test running stage and look forward to seeing pic’s of it in the near future.
btw southern railway had a hole class dedicated to the battle of britain and each member of this class was named after an raf fighter squadron.
