But then, this is a country so bereft of anything resembling a moral sensibility that it pays people smugglers to turn their ships around and go back to Indonesia, so you have to calibrate your expectations accordingly.

And in the process potentially save hundreds if not thousands of lives.

How many thousands of Syrian refugees are now dead or in slavery after Germanys unilateral invite to Syrian migrants to come to Europe?

It is important to consider the bigger picture. And while I abhor some of the things our Tory Government has done, funding the camps in the region was exactly the right thing to do.

Hopefully a few will find their way straight into museums and not a certain unscrupulous dealer. 🙂

Historically it’s the younger generation who are less likely to vote.

I suspect this is what it will come down to in the end. While a slight majority will side with remain, voter turnout will gift a victory for Brexit. Many young won’t have registered to vote, and many others will either be watching Glastonbury or be at it, doing general young person things or revising for their exams. And I believe older voters will turn out in unprecedented numbers.

But it will be a hollow victory.

    Thanks for the pics 🙂

The Mosquito looks much more complete than it has for a while, is this a sign that she may run soon?

Somehow the scale of the tragedy seems worse when it’s simplified like this. The decline of the British motor industry would look superficially similar.

Great picture of probably my joint favourite Spit (joint with MH434). I was so glad that they gave her the invasion stripes back, she looked a little dull without them. 🙂

    …..

I’m not sure whether you were being serious, or just using this topic to have a dig at the UK, which is something you seem to relish. But in several points, you actually manage to defeat your own argument far more eloquently than I can manage.

Do you have some invested interest in our nuclear deterrent that isn’t apparent?

I don’t agree. I don’t think as much emphasis has been put on stealth as was with the F22 program. I also have reservations as to whether the PAK will be a match for the F22 or Eurocanards in a dogfight, it looks more optimised for high speed, stand off interception.

    Leave.

There appear to be no solid, factual arguments for either side, just a load of propaganda and scaremongering.

So, I will rely on my gut instinct, which is that the EU commission appears to be a another version of FIFA. How does Jean Claude Juncker get his position without any sort of public electioneering? no one voted for him outside Brussels. One of the most powerful people in Europe, and he was put on his throne through backroom deals. It all stinks of corruption.

Great to see one in this scheme again 🙂

Really going to be the end of an era when the Tonka is retired. Just think of all the frontline types that the RAF had when it entered service, there will only be one active frontline type with the RAF when it is retired. 🙁

I can’t imagine ‘as new’ is a viable option, given both the cost and the amount of original material that would need removing.

Hopefully we’ll see an ‘as is’, but with some missing areas reconstructed. And then hopefully someone will build a full scale replica at some point 🙂
