The westbound flight is planned to have a tech stop which to me rather defeats the object.
I was surprised to read that these will be operated by mainline BA rather than BA Cityflyer.

HA-YAD is a Yak18 and HA-LAD is a Let410 so it’s neither of them.
There is a Saab 340 registered HA-TAD which is pictured here http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=1313296&size=L
Could that be it?

Why don’t you try contacting Kent International (I think that’s the correct name) direct and asking about charter series and tour operators.

I think Ryanair will start charging people for missing the flights soon
They already do. It’s called a no refunds policy!
These are perfect examples of what I hate about the direction no-frills airlines have taken the industry, but at the same time you cannot expect lead fares of 99p to be all inclusive. Operating aircraft is a very expensive business and if you are going to sell fares at the sort of level FR (sometimes) do then something has to give.
As an aside I heard the travel writer Simon Calder on the radio the other day stating that he refuses to use the expression low-cost to describe any airline, preferring the expression no-frills. How true!

Hi Michael,
Sounds very poor to me on the part of Expedia given that it was their mistake. Synics might suggest that this is a bit of a money spinner for them.
Expedia are telling us that this system they speak of does not exist,
Why would Emirates talk about a system (presumably their reservations system) that doesn’t exist.
Obviously I can only speak with any confidence about the airline that I work for, but we often have comments against reservations where passenger Smitt should be Smith or Jonez should be Jones. In fact if you notify a straightforward name mis-spelling within a given timeframe it will be changed free of charge, even if you make the mistake online.
I’m sure a spelling mistake as minor as that, especially in a first name, won’t even be spotted. I’d happily accept the Emirates advice over that of Expedia.

Some good pictures there, I especially like the Lauda 737.
Not sure whether your “moan about LGW” is the weather or the cost of the bus to LHR, neither of which are the fault of LGW or, for once, the BAA. If you are talking about the bus then you are absolutely right National Express really take advantage of their monopoly on the route.
Living next to LGW and working at LHR I long for the day there might be a direct express train service from LGW to LHR as an alternative to the M25. But I think that will be a long time coming.

Interesting news, and answers my recent question about a new livery for Loganair!
A flybe livery Islander Saabs and Twotters
I look forward to seeing those, especially the Twotter.
painting a 195 and a Q400 in the old Loganair scheme
allowing the Saabs and Twotters to revert to a traditional Loganair livery for a while
At the very least it would be nice to have one of each of Loganair’s types left in their own colours, but I guess that defeats the object of franchising.

Non of BA s 13 remaining
757-200s are ER versions.
EC, ED, EE, EI, EJ and EK are all ER’s.

Anyone who thinks there is anything deeper than that does not understand 21st century business, let alone the aviation business.
As ever Mark it comes to you to inject some common sense into this often repeated subject.

Edit@1323: Sorry Agent K I’ve only just noticed your post. Another sensible opinion indeed.
I think what Michael means is that this aircraft has a non-standard, low density config as it operates the LHR DME route, which means that when it operates other routes passengers get the benefit of extra space.

Thanks for the report Michael and welcome to the forum.

Unusual to see bmi at LGW. Anyone know what was that 319 doing?
What routes are Flybe’s 190’s doing from LGW?

in a stunning new colour scheme
It’d be a funny world if we all liked the same things. I think it’s revolting!

I paid a fiver for a hot breakfast on a GB Airways flight last year – and another fiver to have a hot “meal” on the flight back.
I’m guessing that was one of the regional routes which were operated as ‘BA Connect by GB Airways’ when Connect was still around, or perhaps one of GB’s own charter flights rather than a BA franchise flight.

Lead-in in fares on the LGW PFO are £80 one-way inclusive of taxes.
BA have also announced LGW MLA with lead-in fares of £30 one-way inclusive.
This brings the new and re-launched LGW shorthaul routes for 2008 to 13. Alicante, Antalya, Faro, Genoa, Gibraltar, Ibiza, Malaga, Malta, Palma, Paphos, Poznan, Tunis and Warsaw
KEF is dropped, ALG transfers to LHR, where a AGP service will also be launched.
