Re runway length, don’t forget as per your A/F briefing sheet which you should have rec’d we are in a new location from now on which offers both the Main 18/36 & secondary 08/26 “hard” runways aswell as the 08/26 & 18/36 Grass runways..
Tho admittedly if 08/26 is in use, you’ll have to decide whether to land on the “hard” stuff or on the Grass Strip as Grass Strip is only 450m & can’t make it any longer due to a bloody bank on the westside
N/S 18/36 Grass strip is 593m so gained abit –
“hard runways” – theres plenty of it!!

Did you get my A/F briefing sheet then? Post abit crap of late – just wondering as we are having a few calls re Stalls & Pilots etc who sent there stuff in over 2 months ago & we aint rec’d anything..

My friend has PPR’d G-BORI, but he cannot go now, but I can borrow his aircraft, hoping to be there if time permits. (For time see wife)

We both came along last year, I was in G-BKJF last year, a tired looking Rallye!!

you’re welcome Rob,
if I get a quiet spell I may be able to get crowdside,
keep an eye out,I’m 6ft 4,will be wearing black flight suit,glasses and yellow hi-viz sleeveless jacket

at least three forumites will be there,but actively involved with the running of the day…
NealP….it’s his show
ArmWaver….the name should say it all(he’ll be marshalling the various aircraft in & out)

Nice pics,Mark9…..was also there as part of ArmWavers gang even though we didn’t actually meet today(may catch up with you sometime??)
Shame about the weather,but seems a bit of a theme for this year’s VAC events so far 🙁
The Sukhoi flew later in the afternoon doing some pretty amazing aeros over the airfield

what a cracking start to the season,eh????
was good to see you(and Janie & PaulC).
OAG minor really liked seeing the An-2 depart,as he’d sat in the cockpit of the based one earlier in the day…REALLY MADE HIS DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don’t know what it is about Popham but of all the airfields I visit,Pop has to be my favourite…an absolutely gorgeous airfield,lovely scenery and very,very friendly….
well done Mr Richardson,you’re a top bloke…long may it continue!!!!!!!!!!!!!
