Bruce,
good to meet up with you today…and many thanks for opening up the Vampire T11 for my non-forum mate.
Incredibly my first ever visit to Mozzie Museum and was well impressed, what a friendly bunch you all are…through lack of doing my homework, arrived about an hour before opening time, but some kind soul still allowed us to enter the site…if you know who it may have been, please pass on our thanks for that.
Made a note of a name and address for a potential speaker at Oxfordshire Aviation Group(name..Reg Davey, info in hangar with prototype Mozzie),what I’m wondering is can you confirm this as being the correct info
cheers, and hopefully catch up with again soon

The Southampton Seawings display in 2000(?) was memroable. I chose the end of the runway at Lee-on-Solent where most of the aircraft were operating from. The canberra doing a low pass on return from its display as it passed the end of the runway at around 100 ft 😮 , causing afew to duck. The US based Albatross was also a memroable flyby as was its touch and go in the Solent. Would be nice to see a repeat show but with a couple of Cats on the water.
The IAT’s at Greenham always seemed special, although I was only little at the time. I think as they were then only every 2 years, and that you rarely saw many foreign military at uk shows, made them even more special.
Loved the BoB displays at Abingdon. The 1990 BoB anniversary flypast was memroable. But the thing that sticks in my mind was a awsome Lightning display around 1979.
Robbelc
remember Seawings very well,if only it could be repeated,eh??
Since those days I have expanded my activities within the realms of aviation enthusiasm to that of being a reggie-spotter,but do you think I could find a list of participants at Seawings….NO!!!!
There-fore I wish to ask if you,or anyone else, has a list for the aircraft which actually displayed over Southampton Water
many thanks in advance

yes, mate there was a meet-up last weekend..and most interesting it was too!!!!
Most met up at Old Warden for the obligatory bacon-buttie before heading to the Twinwoods Farm site…loads of Miller memorabilia and other goodies.
The afternoon was spent at the Carpet-baggers museum at Harrington,Northants..another very interesting museum worthy of a second look sometime.
Didn’t take any photos so nothing to post from me…maybe some of the others may do later…how’s about it MotF,Robbo etc????
All in all a good way to spend a Spring Sunday and in darned good company as well
