just to reinforce Charlielima5’s comments….as CanadaTD hinted Nigel Parker did have some Miles Master parts(wing, rudder pedals, oleo leg)m and did pass them on to Berkshire Aviation Group who in turn sent them up north.
Nigel also said that when some new houses were being built at Woodley it was discovered that the site had been the Miles dump and contained several relics…apparantly no-one was interested in rescuing and preserving them and there they lay, deep beneath a housing estate in Woodley

just a thought, guys….despite the undoubted nuisance these items are to yourselves,if it wasn’t for these companies sending out their mail-shots,Royal Mail would probably not be able to pay my wages,there-by depriving me of disposable income to indulge myself at airshows during the summer…long may there continue to be Mailsort

    Canada TD,
just wondering if that’s Wallingford,Oxfordshire,UK….if so do you know the name of this group,I live in Didcot(only about 6 miles away) and still have some good contacts in my old hometown…
what I’m saying is,if in Wallingford,Oxon and they still exist and if anyone interested I could do some snooping round to try and locate them

can honestly say I’ve never been to an air-event and come away disappointed….YES-some were better than others, but on the whole have enjoyed ’em all.
The days I have not enjoyed were those involving major incidents including, sadly, fatalities. The first was the Phantom at Abingdon rehearsing for the BoB Display in ’88,the two Migs at Fairford in ’93,the Yak 18T at White Waltham in ’94(fortunately the last two did not result in the loss of life),the P63 at Biggin in 2001(??),and the Firefly at Duxford in 2003.
Hopefully there will not be too many more such days!!!!!!!!!

“It is going to hit the business of those who operate TW and from TW”

There-in lies the narrow-minded selfishness of NIMBY’s everywhere….will they feel better if these businesses do cease trading and their employees make frequent visits to Brackley/Banbury/Towcester Job Centres….not forgetting the businesses indirectly affeced by any such closure…local service stations, pubs etc, plus those businesses who act as suppliers to TW based firms
Is it worth so much financial hardship, stress and upset for the sake of one or two?????
