It might be that the operating airline has changed as BD used to operate LHR-BRU (I think on one of their ERJ’s!), however now these flights are operated by SN Brussels, and BD just code-share with them as they are both part of the Star Alliance.

really? Is that normal practice for such events? :confused:Never heard of a plane full of passengers performing a fly by.

When I was on a training flight in a 747-400, we had to do a full stop landing, and all those onboard, apart from the two Captains, had to get off and get a bus back home as the aircraft was going to do a fly-past display around Beachy Head, and we were not allowed onboard during this, so I would be astonished if it is any different in any other country.

Indeed…and as the article below demonstrates, it didnt see itself beyond Jan 2010 as it was bought by Dnata of Dubai:

    http://www.evaint.com/article/40/5633/Plain-sense-as-Dnata-buys-Plane-Handling.aspx

By the end of January 2010, Dnata was the proud owner of Plane Handling Ltd, formerly part of the Go-Ahead Group. It provides cargo and ramp handling services at London Heathrow Airport and cargo handling services at Manchester Airport. Dnata has also acquired passenger and ramp handling operations at Terminal 3 & 4 at London Heathrow Airport from Aviance Ltd, which is also part of the Go-Ahead Group.

Maybe BA and LH should do a combined strike…

Well if LH pilots strike on 13th Apr unless they manage to reach a deal, and with more strikes planned by BA cabin crew on or around 14th Apr, plus the potential of strike action at VS if their pilots are balloted…it could be a very interesting April ahead indeed.

Even though its exactly the same livery, I have to say it does look and suit the A330 far better than the 767, anyone else agree?

I just wished I had put my trip to HNL on hold for a couple of years (went in 2008) so I could have flown on this particular aircraft type, but then again I did go out there to celebrate both a 18th and 75th birthday, and also celebrated my own, albeit my 23rd, whilst I was out there!:)

Why not try the first link on Google, Tommy…

    http://www.aerospaceweb.org/question/performance/q0229.shtml.

Either that or you could look up about it on a site such as A.net under their aircraft data section.

    Hope this helps.;)

As far as Im aware Aviance are staying at LHR, its all thier other UK airports they are pulling. They pulled DUB last August which cost me my job.

I am very sorry to hear that Shamrock, have you been able to find a new job since?

I wonder how many of those BA aircraft were being stored there during the strike!

When I left work yesterday, I took a quick drive towards T5 to see if I could see any of the chartered aircraft, and the only one I could see was an Astreaus 757 (the one in the ex-Zoom blue colour!).

And today, a passenger I checked in said that she travelled from Rome to Heathrow on BA yesterday and that the aircraft was operated by EuroAtlantic!

Just been looking at a map…wouldn’t it have been better to have a techincal stop in somewhere like St John’s rather than Gander?

Well, all I can say is that I am stunned!:mad:

To think I actually admired him for his enthusiasm and determination to succeed (even thought the criticism he received on here was harsh!), but now it turns out that he’s just a common fraudster…just goes to show how naive I really was!:o

Lets hope that the rozzers pay a visit and lock him up!
