It’s not a picture, but equally interesting about Bulgarian AF.
MiG-29 cockpit dogfight

Uh-huh.
Impressive looking manoeuvre? Yep…
Any combat worth whatsoever? Nope…
The point of the maneuvre is to prove that the pilot can do whatever the heck he want’s to the plane and the aircraft won’t stall.
What exactly is happening in the second photo? Underneath the aircraft, right under the “k” from the registration you can see something is leaking….heavy leaking.
BTW, nice photos.
Not quite a nice nose jobe on the Kfir.

I think two weeks of hard work and dedication will make this plane flyable again ;):D
Nerves were struck I see :diablo:
Let`s say…I don`t like very much trolls. 😎
Thats pretty eye opening, I know which i’d feel safer in!
I am sure the Dutch will take your feeling of safety when they decide what to buy. No one cares in which aircraft you feel safer 😉
Fuel tanks. 915L capacity. They are usually installed in cargo cabin.
French. I`ll see if I can dig up some more details.
They came nose high. At the Puma if the nose pitch up is higher than 9 degrees you will definately hit the ground tail first. This is exactly what happened here. They hit the ground tail first, the tail skid went through the tail rotor and the rest is history.
The guy that falls from the helicopter is alive and well, he flew with my father a few weeks ago. There were no other fatalities.
I`ve got to hand it to the camera guy…he had some steel nuts not to run away.
Really? I heard a ejection in full speed makes you on average 1-2 cm shorter. Unless you crack your skull wide open on tumeling wings and/or tailfins that is..
On my deathbed I`d like to regret the things I`ve done, and not to regret the things I haven`t done.
I have just seen a full-page magazine advert (in What’s On TV) by Fairy Liquid showing a picture of a very young boy with a huge smile on his face.
He is apparently strapped into a Red Arrows Hawk flying inverted in a burst of three Hawks. The ad indicates that this as a ‘Make A Wish’ come true.
Just what are the Red Arrows thinking of taking a young lad up in an ejection seat? What on earth do they think would happen if their was a mid-air emergency?
I’m not normally against a bit of ‘fun’, but this seems to be taking things a bit far!
Bri 🙁
Are you kidding?!!! If I were that lad I would pray for an emergency. Not every day you get the oportunity to do something out of the ordinary….eject from a fighter jet :D:diablo:
The pic does show an interesting looking bolt-on IR suppression system for the engine exhaust. Those monstrosities should trim a few knots off the airspeed.
The helo in the background appears to have an IR and/or radar camouflage cover. But it does not have the IR exhaust suppressors.
Those suppressors are called EVU and can be removed if necesary.
Empire Test Pilots School
Thanks. I wonder who is training the britts to fly them.
What is “ETPS” ?
